COVID-19 Information for our Valued Clients
** COVID-19 UPDATE **
08.11.2022
On 4 November the State of Emergency in Western Australia ended. With this came the expiry of all remaining COVID-19 Directions including:
Proof of vaccination
Mandatory vaccination
Face mask use in high-risk settings
Please read this update from WA Health for further information.
Strong public health social measures are encouraged to keep those most at risk of severe illness safe, including:
Stay home if unwell and get tested if COVID-like symptoms develop
Register positive RAT results at HealthyWA
Stay up to date with vaccinations
Wear a mask if social distancing isn’t possible
Wash or sanitise hands regularly.
Revocation of mandatory mask-wearing and vaccination directions
As stated above, all public health directions have been revoked. The WA Government has provided updated guidelines to assist healthcare facilities. You can find The Guidelines here.
Private healthcare facilities, including primary care and allied health services, should determine their own infection protection control (IPC) policies to manage the transmission of COVID-19 and other respiratory illnesses. The Guidelines may be used by the private sector when developing their IPC guidelines.

COVID-19 telehealth items (Medicare)
The Government has introduced COVID-19 Medicare telehealth items. This allows psychologists to provide phone and/or video-conference services for clients. As part of the Australian Government’s response to COVID-19, new temporary MBS telehealth items have been introduced to ensure continued access to essential Medicare rebated consultation services. As of 30 March 2020 these items have become general in nature and have no relation to diagnosing, treating or suspecting COVID-19. You will require a GP referral (Mental Health Treatment Plan) to access these rebated services.
We will continue to monitor and manage our service so that we can continue to deliver services for the maximum safety of everyone. We will request clients attending our service to assure us that they are free from flu-like symptoms each time they attend our service. We request that if you are experiencing flu-like symptoms you contact our service in a timely manner to either reschedule your appointment or to request a telehealth session. Please note that late cancellation fees will apply as per our cancellation policy for all cancellations later than 48 business hours prior to your appointment.
Please do not miss your appointment. Please remember that we have a cancellation policy and we appreciate clients adhering to this.
We would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the significant disruption and uncertainty everyone has experienced during these unprecedented times. We extend our support to our clients and encourage you to call our office to discuss scheduling appointments if you are struggling and have not seen your psychologist in some time.
